Our story
From a neighbourhood tailoring practice to a circular fashion and healthcare textile studio.
GreenKreations grew from years of hands-on experience in fashion design, tailoring and garment construction. Working directly with customers revealed a recurring problem: ready-to-wear clothing is convenient, but standard sizing does not consistently provide the right fit for individual bodies.
That experience inspired our Select & Sew Ready-to-Wear (RTW) model — a different approach that brings together the convenience of ready-to-wear and the fit advantages of made-to-measure clothing.
Instead of relying only on finished garments produced in fixed standard sizes, customers can select a design, choose from available fabrics and provide their measurements or preferred size. The garment is then sewn and finished locally to their fit within a significantly shorter timeframe than traditional bespoke tailoring.
Our aim is simple: make personalised fit more accessible without turning every purchase into a lengthy bespoke process.
Alongside Select & Sew RTW, GreenKreations is developing a mobile tailoring service that takes professional alterations, repairs, fittings and selected sewing services closer to customers. Rather than requiring every customer to travel to a traditional tailoring studio, our mobile model is designed to bring convenient fashion services into homes, workplaces, communities and other suitable locations.
Together, these ideas are shaping GreenKreations into more than a fashion label. We are building a service-led fashion system centred on fit, convenience, local production and longer garment use.
Aanu Oluwayemisi Olanrewaju leads the creative and fashion direction of GreenKreations. As a designer and tailor, her practical experience working with different customers and body measurements led to the development of the Select & Sew RTW concept. Her focus is on creating clothing that combines African-inspired design, skilled construction, inclusive fit and practical innovation.
Olalekan Ayo Olanrewaju supports the operational and systems-development side of the business. His focus includes building the processes required to turn GreenKreations’ mobile tailoring concept into a structured, repeatable operation capable of supporting multiple locations and, ultimately, independently operated franchise units.
Together, the founders are working towards a fashion business that can combine creative design with a scalable service model across the UK and other markets.
GreenKreations is working towards a connected fashion model built around Select & Sew RTW and mobile tailoring.
The first stage is to strengthen and standardise the Select & Sew process — from design selection and measurement to local production, fitting and delivery — so customers can receive better-fitting clothing without the conventional waiting period associated with bespoke tailoring.
Alongside this, we are developing our mobile tailoring operation into a repeatable service system for alterations, repairs, fittings and selected garment-making services.
Our longer-term ambition is to turn this model into a franchise-ready business. Rather than GreenKreations having to own and operate every location, trained franchise partners could operate local GreenKreations mobile tailoring units and Select & Sew services using shared processes, quality standards, training and brand systems.
Beginning in Hull, the model can be refined before expansion into other UK cities and, eventually, other markets including Nigeria.
The vision is to build a network of locally operated fashion-service businesses connected by one GreenKreations system — bringing better fit and professional tailoring closer to the customer while creating opportunities for skilled fashion professionals and entrepreneurs.
