The baby garments are lightweight, gentle on sensitive skin, and shaped with built-in access for IV lines, feeding tubes and monitoring equipment so nurses do not need to remove the garment for checks. Many sets include a corresponding maternal garment designed for skin-to-skin holding and long hours on the ward.
The clothing is designed around neonatal care requirements: it is light and plush against delicate skin, shaped so it does not press on tender spots, and built with access points for lines, tubes and monitors. This supports minimal handling and thermal stability during hospital stays. Cotton-rich scraps used in the line are sorted, washed and sanitised before entering production.
We map small producers — tailoring shops, home sewing businesses, alteration centres and hobbyist makers — and offer them an organised, community-level recovery channel. Donors receive simple instructions to separate cotton-rich material from synthetic fibres. Collected scraps are sorted, washed and sanitised at a processing point; quality fibres go into preemie wear production and the unsuitable remainder is disposed of responsibly.
It is an app-based, on-demand tailoring service that brings a tailor to your home, workplace or hospital. You can book a tailor within two hours, follow the unit's arrival with live mapping, upload photos of garments to assess cost, and choose repair, alteration, customisation or upcycling. The mobile studio is a professional van — hybrid-powered with solar and battery backup — equipped with an overlocker, sewing machine, cutting table, steam press and digital inventory.
Yes. The platform includes a dedicated NHS request system for urgent hospital fittings, and our mobile units have a preemie-care extension that supports NICU wards with adaptive preemie wear and quick adjustments as babies grow.
We are a UK-based company. The Hull pilot will establish the first complete micro-local textile recovery system, with the model planned for other cities in partnership with councils, hospitals, fashion schools and community organisations. Mobile tailoring will expand from Hull to major UK cities including London, Birmingham, Leeds and Manchester.
